How flashing bails works In Australia

One of the most innovative things we have experienced in his world cup is wickets and bails with LED used by the ICC. Before this world cup these wickets and bails were seen being used in the Big Bash series in Australia.

These bails are totally different in their composition and working as compared to the normal wooden bails. The best thing about them is they are also quite strong like the wooden ones and doesn’t lack the tendency to get damaged easily.

Nigel who is the official representative from the ICC gave a brief view of the stumps and bails that have been used in this world cup. How the LED works and how much benefits they both give.

There are LED present in both the bails and stumps. Inside the bails the quantity if LED is one whereas in the stumps there are two colored LEDs. The orange one is the normal one that glows when the ball hit the stumps and the green one are the other.

Both LEDs are present on the sides of the stumps. The green ones are the indicators of the conditions of the stumps and the orange LED.

If all four green LEDs are glowing it means everything is fine and normal.


ssa ssdas by Sheharyar_Khan_4 In bails the LEDs are in a connection to each other from the ends. When a bail lifts in the air it immediately starts glowing.

These LEDS have given umpires a great relief in determining when they are lodged. The decision making has been made easy now. These bails are rechargeable and have a whole hit for this purpose.

It is an expensive technology so ICC has warned the players not to carry a stump or bail with them after the match and we have seen this happening even with MS Dhoni who had to return back the stump after the match.
