Mahela Jayawardene to be Vice-Captain of Delhi Daredevils in ipl 5

Sri Lanka Captain Mahela Jayawardene has been named as the Vice-Captain of the Delhi Daredevils in the upcoming IPL-5. Virender Sehwag will remain as the Captain of the Delhi Daredevils.
The Delhi Daredevils’ Team Mentor TA Sekar has said that it was an easy decision to make and has been quoted in the Daredevils’ official website that “he (Mahela Jayawardene) has an excellent track record as a leader of men and draws enormous respect from his team-mates.” TA Sekar also said that “we are aware of the immense value that Mahela brings to the table and are sure that the team will benefit from his presence in the leadership team.”
The Delhi Daredevils had actually acquired the stylish Sri Lankan batsman through the IPL auction on February 4. Mahela Jayawardene had played last season for the Kochi Kerala Tuskers which got terminated from the tournament.
