Shehzad hit six sixes and 12 fours in his 49-ball 113 not out as Barisal reached 189, past the target of 185 runs, in just 16 overs. He and skipper BJ Hodge made 103 runs for the first wicket within the first eight overs, setting a solid base for the chase. Hodge scored 33 off 23, striking two sixes and three fours, before he was bowled by Saqlain Sajib.
Shehzad found another good partner in P Mustard who hit 33 off 20 balls with the help of six fours. They pushed the total to 177 before Mustard fell to Shabbir Rehman in the 15th over. Mohammad Sami, who had 17 wickets from previous 10 games, failed to increase his tally as he gave away 30 runs in his three overs. Seasoned allrounder Abdul Razzaq was hammered for 26 in his only over.
